a beet for your future self (This is STILL good.)

Yep, you might have seen this one before. I first sent it on 2.24.24. Since then I've learned we shouldn't store roasted vegetables in foil, because botulism. Appetizing! So unwrap your beet and put it in a container. The rest still holds 😎.

(This is good.) A BEET for your future self / Next time you turn the oven on, trim a beet,* wrap it in foil, and let it bake alongside whatever else you're making. Bake the beet until it's tender all the way through (usually about 50 monutes).*** Put it in the fridge, foil and all (apple, wedge-shaped item, and foil-wrapped beet on fridge shelf) ***An over- or undercooked beet is not the worst thing. / Now you have a cooked beet in the fridge, and your future self can unwrap it and slip the skin off. (hands, drawn pretty convincingly! slipping the skin off a beet) / ** Caution: This only works if you like beets. If you
don't, use a sweet potato or a winter squash instead.

And slice it up and eat it for lunch with some cheese. (sliced beets) / Or dice it (salad with diced beet on top) to throw on top of a salad. / Or add it to a sandwich (sandwich in splashy circle reading WORLD'S FIRST BEET GRILLED CHEESE). Your future self will feel so loved.
